re: two times too many.

the end result is that i am having to wear contacts. i loathe the act of putting the buggers in or taking them out, hence my typing this at 10:40 pm, when i really should have taken them out by 10 pm. woops.

two times too many.

twice now, i have broken two pairs of glasses within the last six months.

twice now, i have broken two pairs of glasses the same exact way.

twice now, i have fallen asleep while reading (at least not the same book) and then somehow snapped my frames in half.

twice now, i should have learned my lesson.

ready. set. go.

i'm off. costa rica. here i come.

really. i should be packing right now. in fact, with as much excitement that i have, i should be overpacking. instead, i am procrastinating. in fact, i still stand by the question that i asked my roommate the other day, "why can't i just wear my swimsuit the entire week and not pack anything else?" perhaps i will...

...if you need me, i will be in costa rica...and will not get back to you until i get back...that's how serious i take my vacations...

this is fact. not fiction.

1. i have a love/hate relationship with pizza. i began today with a love and now i only have hate. this will last for another 6 months, when i will more than likely suddenly fall back in love with it again.
2. not having health/dental insurance is one of the best things that has happened to my body. i finally grew up and started flossing. i exercise and work on ridding the toxins in my body more so than ever before. 
3. even though i will be there in a month, i still really miss texas. after watching a movie placed in texas, i cried as i also longly watched the sunset on the hill country.
4. i have been vegetarian for a month and a half...but i will more than likely be omnivorous in less time than i have been meat-free. 
5. i put on nail polish just to peel the paint off of my nails.
6. the medical check facility for the military hung up on me the other day. "why?" you may ask. because they wanted to order some pizzas....as they put it..."you know, you have to have your priorities straight." 
7. i was bullied by the 8-year-old girl that i was nannying yesterday. in my defense, she is taller than me.
8. i loathe doing my laundry.
9. i genuinely think that jeff bridges and i could be great friends. i want him to be my mentor. i really dream of meeting him someday.
10. i can't wait to see mt. rushmore. no matter what anyone says...imri...

ps. i may be headed to central or south america for the peace corps....as soon as july/august. zoinks!

judgement day.

as a prelude to the following events, i want to clarify that i blame  finishing my book today, and not having time to pick up my new book from the library on what transpired this evening.

now that i have given a reasonable defense, let me just simply state i have gone against anything and everything i know to be right in the world: i watched american idol this evening. 

"why?," you might ask...well, again i would ask you to go back and read the first paragraph. but really, i am still asking myself the same question. i have never had a desire to watch the show. in fact, i despise it's existence. and between you and me, i, subconsciously (or not), cast judgement upon you if you regularly converse or even watch it. so the fact that i sat through the ENTIRE two-hour episode is beyond me. 

actually, i can tell you why. it's because i have a soft spot for this guy:

after passing through the channel at the exact moment he was being booted from his first group, i found myself hooked. i had a deep desire to want to see him succeed, even if it meant watching the rest of the episode. i laughed with him. i cried with him. i am his biggest fan.

now, do i plan on watching anymore episodes? no. in fact, in my head i have already decided that he is the winner. and honestly, i cannot stand to look at those empty vitamin water cups anymore...such a waste on bendy-straws...

moral of the story: i'm a belieber in jacee badeaux.

i began doing a series of brain teasers the other day at the club, while i had that kiddos coloring away. i ended up completing the entire 60+ series within the hour with the exception of four problems.
